SPARKling New Year's Resolutions!
As we begin 2012, many of you are determing your New Year's resolutions. Will you eat healthier? Exercise more? Watch less TV? How about getting more involved in our school community? There are many ways to help make a difference with SPARK: three key ways are donate, participate & advocate!
DONATE: The SPARK Annual Giving campaign has raised nearly $600,000 from 32% of the families in the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District. We are so grateful to the more than 300 families who have supported SPARK this year with a donation of any amount to help fund music, art, science, technology and library programs at Neil Cummins and Hall. Thank you! If you have not sent in your donation for 2011-2012, please help financially support your child's school foundation -- it's certainly not too late! PARTICIPATE: Get involved! There are many exciting and rewarding ways to help out with SPARK events this spring with the Fashion Show on March 23 and the Cinco de Mayo Auction on May 5. We're always looking for people who can share their time and talent to support our children's education. Your involvement is critical to making these fundraising events a success. Plus, it's a fun way to meet new friends! Currently SPARK is looking for auction volunteers, please contact Melanie Salman or LuAnn Hirsch at auctionparty@SPARKschools.org if you'd like to help out. Big or small, we've got a job for you.
ADVOCATE: Help others understand the importance of supporting our children's school foundation. Educate people on how we can all help raise money to fund Music, Art, Science, Technology, Library and other critical programs for our scools. Encourage a buddy to volunteer at an event. Steer someone to the SPARK website, encourage friends to sign up for eScrip, or invite them to attend an event.
We can all make a difference in our children's education.
